At the end of this module, you will be able to:

Unit Consumptions
- Unit consumption for domestic water demand is expressed in per capita consumption per day. The commonly used unit is liters per capita per day.
- Level II Public Faucets: 50-60 lpcd (each public faucet should serve 4-6 households)
- Level III House Connections: 80-100 lpcd
II. If there are public schools and health centers, they will be supplied from the start of systems operation and be classified as institutional connections.
The following daily consumption per connection is used for commercial and institutional connections:
- Institutional Connections: 1.0 m3/day
- Commercial Connections: 0.8 m3/day

- Code on Sanitation of the Philippines (Department of Health) - Minimum Sanitation Standards in the Philippines
- Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (Environmental Management Bureau) - This Act shall apply to water quality management in all water bodies: Provided, that it shall primarily apply to the abatement and control of pollution from land based sources: Provided, further, that the water quality standards and regulations and the civil liability and penal provisions under this Act shall be enforced irrespective of sources of pollution.
- Water Code of the Philippines (National Water Resources Board) - Water Permit for domestic, municipal, irrigation, power generation, fisheries, livestock raising, industrial, recreational, and other purposes.
- Water Quality Guidelines and General Effluent Standards of 2016 (Environmental Management Bureau) - Issued to provide guidelines for the classification of water bodies in the country; evaluation of the need for taking actions in preventing, controlling, or abating water pollution.
